The Eagle Has Landed

Alright, I give; I can't keep claiming to be in a transition all summer. The truth of the matter is that there's very little of what some might consider 'summer.' I know all of my friends who are not employed in the field of education always get a bit peevish (or envious) when I talk about the notion of summer. They're usually like, "summer? what's that?"
Ok, so I get a summer, so sue me. Like I said, though, it's pretty regimented, or maybe I'm just a bit too uptight or getting old. I'm getting up pretty much every day at 7:00, which I admit is really a luxury, but then I'm up and getting ready for school. I'm taking a class at U of H to try and get my LPC (license for professional counselor), so I'm either studying or exercising. In case you didn't know, I did my first triathlon about a month ago or so, and boy, was I unprepared. I did well by my friends' and family's standards, but I'm gonna do another one and so training this summer has taken on a bit of an obsession for me, like run today, swim and bike tomorrow, rest on Thursday, weights on Friday, bike and run Saturday (you get the idea). One good thing, aside from the fun and exercise is that there are so many people that love to do either the running or biking, and so it's been a good way to connect with guys in general.
Well, I'm keeping pretty busy, then, I guess, and tomorrow I'm also going to start my search for a new home.
Well, that's my blog update. Brian called me out on it and so this is for you, Brian. Next time, I'll try to explain why I'm funny in person but not on my blog. ;-)
